At Olson's Flowers & Gifts, we have been proudly serving the greater Madison area since 1954. Our story began when Bill Olson first began designing with flowers in his parent's basement, and just ten years later opened his iconic gift shop on 214 E Main Street in Mount Horeb. For decades, Bill and Muriel Olson dedicated themselves to providing exceptional floral arrangements and exceptional service to our community.
In 2023, the Olson family passed the baton to Kristen Dresen to bring new life to the shop and the Olson's Flowers legacy for the next generation.
Kristen's creative passion first emerged through floral design in an unexpected way. It began as a hobby, growing flowers with her Dad as a way to make the most of their time together as she helped him navigate a difficult journey. The entire experience made a lasting impact on her outlook for the future.
Today, Kristen combines her corporate expertise with her love for design to craft exceptional florals, events, and spaces for her clients. Her team is dedicated to fostering connections and enhancing the joy of special moments that leave a lasting impression. We're proud to have been voted Best of Madison Florist by Madison Magazine readers in both 2024 and 2025 — a reflection of the same care and passion that's guided this shop since 1954.

After nearly seven decades at our original 214 East Main Street location, Olson's Flowers & Gifts moved to 400 East Main Street, where we now share our space with Melrose on Main, a boutique offering women's clothing, home decor, and gifts. It's a natural pairing — come in for flowers and stay to browse for a gift or something special for yourself.
We offer same-day flower delivery to Mount Horeb when ordered by 2pm, and same-day delivery throughout the rest of Dane County when ordered by 10am. Beyond Mount Horeb, we regularly deliver to Madison, Middleton, Verona, Cross Plains, Fitchburg, Barneveld, Black Earth, Belleville, Blanchardville, Blue Mounds, Dodgeville, Hollandale, Mazomanie, New Glarus, Oregon, and Ridgeway. Delivery is $10 within Mount Horeb and $14 to surrounding communities (with a $50 order minimum); for locations outside our direct delivery area, we can send your order through our trusted wire service network for a $15 fee plus the cost of the arrangement.
